Modern Witch
is a group of visual artists who create dark electronic soundscapes and project video to create an enchanting art performance. Using minimal electronic beats, synth rhythms, and dissonant vocal harmonies the group creates music with projected video artworks consisting of appropriated re-edits of popular tv and video data found on the Internet. Artists Kamran Khan, Mario Zoots, and Kristy Foom began collaborating in 2007 in Denver, Colorado and perform in art galleries and music venues internationally.

Modern Witch electronic performances are improvisational but loosely based on song themes. Hollywood Babylon, for example, is a theme the group has been performing since 2007 in different configurations. The lyrics to Hollywood Babylon never change, but the music and the video adapt to the particular installation. Sometimes the song is performed with a house beat and high definition projections, other times the theme is performed to heavy drone synth sounds, slowed down beats and slowed down video projections.

Modern Witch at { Sonic Horticulture } consisted of a solo music performance by Kristy Foom to video art projections by Mario Zoots. The music and the video focused on the theme of physical and spiritual growth in relation to nature. > Link
